Attorney Brian Finnegan for D’Arrigo Bros. Co. attended the Gonzales Unified School District Board of Trustees last Tuesday with CFO of D’Arrigo Bros. Co. John Culligan. He told the Board that the D’Arrigo family has a desire to again come up with a project for development that would include an elementary school in the Rincon Villages development, on the east side of Hwy. 101.

Consultant Gary Gibbs was retained by D’Arrigo Bros. to prepare a mitigation proposal for the Gonzales Unified School District and Rincon Villages. Gibbs delivered the proposal to the Board.

“The D’Arrigo family has an interest in schools and are not real estate people,” Finnegan said. “They got in this as a shotgun wedding when developers starting coming around them, and they entered into a contract with developers known as Sun Valley.”
